This S.T.A.R. programme for Printer Consumables has been established because printer cartridges contain substances that could be potentially harmful to the environment if not properly controlled, and to ensure that all valuable and re-useable materials are recovered.
The S.T.A.R. programme prevents contamination of landfill sites or incinerators, by diverting printer consumables away from the waste stream, and recycling each one back into plastics, metals, and other materials which can be used again.
